Lead Operator
Job Summary
The Lead assists the Production Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in all manufacturing processes and procedures. Works in collaboration with employees, and management team to enforce safety and quality policies and procedures as dictated by company’s handbook. Responsible for assisting with training new employees. The Lead will perform same labor functions as the workers being supervised to allow employees to take breaks and when business conditions warrant it.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Wraps and weight all production skids.
- Assists with breaks, changeovers and screen changes.
- Works with production staff to ensure lines run without any issues.
- Works with production staff to ensure the quality of the product.
- Communicates with Maintenance Supervisor about equipment problems.
- Performs other labor functions as needed.
- Operate forklift safely.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Able to effectively communicate.
- Ability to keep up in a fast pace environment.
