About the role

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will provide customers complete service solutions to address their critical rotating machinery assets, protection, and monitoring system. This will include evaluating machinery condition based on rotor dynamic analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications
  • Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service
  • Complete timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer
  • Build relationships with customers to provide a high-level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health
  • Calculate and oversee placement of balance weights
  • Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with rotating equipment or machineries (Compressors/Steam Turbines/Gas Turbines/Water or Chemical Pumps/Fans/Blowers)
  • Available for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant overtime (paid)
  • Valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport)
  • Eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
  • Eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion
  • Valid work authorization in the country of employment; employer unable to sponsor work authorization for this role at any time

Desired characteristics

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of reliability services
  • ISO certification for vibration analysis
  • Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel
  • Experience working under stressful working conditions
  • Project Management skills
  • Solid computer skills using MS Office software
  • Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems
  • Knowledge of or experience with at least one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment
  • Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and Cordant™ services
  • Basic familiarity with computer network systems

Pay

Coverage options and contribution amounts are related to your benefit elections, base salary level, and specific requirements of each of these plans.
