Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to design equipment integrated into distribution, production, and material-handling systems.
- Translate customer goals and operational requirements into engineered solutions.
- Support multiple phases of engineering projects, occasionally across several concurrent initiatives.
- Develop 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for custom equipment and system components.
- Perform hand calculations and engineering analyses to validate design integrity and performance.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including product specifications, testing procedures, and technical reports.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and collaborate with larger engineering teams.
- Estimate engineering effort required for assigned tasks and manage workload to meet project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot design challenges and propose solutions with increasing autonomy.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and design iterations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with procurement, project managers, manufacturing teams, and external partners to ensure design intent is met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in machine or automation equipment engineering.
- 3D Modeling Design experience, particularly with materials like steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and sheet metal.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar software.
- Experience in stress analysis and GD&T.
- Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and DFMEA.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Machine design experience.
- SolidWorks Certification.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $58.69/hr.
