About the role
We are seeking a motivated mechanical engineer to design key components of a life-saving surgical robot for endovascular procedures.
Responsibilities
- Designing mechanisms for the surgical robot and single-use tools.
- Participating in the full design cycle from conceptualization to detailed drawings for prototypes and production.
- Generating specifications, component, and assembly drawings, along with manufacturing documentation.
- Conducting subsystem testing, developing test plans, and analyzing data.
- Rapidly designing and producing proof-of-concept hardware for R&D projects.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of industry experience, particularly in mechanism design.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, OnShape) and structural analysis (e.g., FEA, beam deflection).
- Experience with hand tools and prototyping equipment.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Passion for mechanical engineering and continuous learning.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating electrical components (motors, sensors, wiring).
- Thermal analysis skills.
- Design for injection molding.
