About the role

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Accomplish specific goals within the Value Stream to address Delivery, Cost of Operations, Safety, Training, and Quality.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accord with company policies.
  • Produce quality parts/assemblies and eliminate the cost of non-conformance.
  • Continuously improve Value Stream performance by implementing lean initiatives such as waste elimination, kanbans, pull production, continuous flow, 6-S and TPM.
  • Crosstrain on other jobs to prevent lapses in production flow. This includes assembly, deburring, stockroom, trucking, inspection, etc.
  • Perform other job assignments as needed to maintain efficient operation or as supervisory personnel direct.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
  • Read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
  • Troubleshoot problems in the product and resolve product and manufacturing process problems as needed, utilizing resources (Engineering, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Marketing, etc.) as necessary.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An associates degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
