Assembly (Production) - 2nd Shift Job

Primary location: Marshfield, Missouri. Relocation offered. Full-time position with no travel required.

About the role

This position is responsible for safely producing and finishing solid and veneered wood products using advanced machinery, hand tools, and sanding equipment. Production needs include but are not limited to customer orders, inventory, product samples, and product development prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of machinery, ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
• Maintain high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of self and all associates within the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Dependable, punctual, and good attendance record.
• Ability to interact well with others in pursuit of working safely and producing high-quality materials.
• Must be able to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Required: No minimum education or experience required.
• Desired:
  • Some knowledge of wood products and finishing.
  • 1-3 years of past manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • OSHA 10-hour training.

Skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment

• Plant environment with occasional exposure to hot/cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, cords, tools, and other obstacles.
• Intermittent loud noises and dusty or dirty conditions.
• Required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other department-specific PPE. Additional PPE available upon request.
• This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Schedule

• 2nd shift: 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., Monday to Thursday (4/10 schedule).
• Overtime on Friday/Saturday as needed.

Pay

• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 total ($500 at 3 months and $500 at 9 months of service).
• Estimated base salary range: competitive, based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.

Our Marshfield, Missouri plant is conveniently located within 3 hours of large cities such as Tulsa, Kansas City, and St. Louis, and within 30 minutes of Springfield. The area offers numerous outdoor opportunities, including:

• Eight large lakes within an hour's drive, offering fishing, boating, skiing, and sailing.
• Two smaller lakes within 30 minutes.
• Hiking, biking, wildlife areas, streams, and river opportunities nearby, including the Niangua and Compton Hollow Conservation Areas.
