About the role
The Rope Access Level I Technician performs various visual inspections via rope access under the direction of a Project Manager, Team Leader, or independently. The role requires extensive experience as a field technician and supervisor for the Rope Access team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelines
- Prepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner
- Interface with clients on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilities
- Provide on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees
- Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors
- Organize and report test results and send information to office for data processing
- Follow technology advancements in the NDE/Rope Access industries
Requirements
- Current SPRAT/IRATA Certification Level I required
- Minimum of 1-2 years field experience required
- Prior ASNT Level II certification in MT, PT and/or UTT required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid TWIC card required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
- HHS Safety Training preferred
Qualifications
- Able to pass physical exam
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors
- Able to solve technical issues in the field
Skills
- Technical expertise in NDE and Rope Access
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
