Job Description
The Rooms Inspector is responsible for performing a final room inspection to ensure quality and readiness of guest rooms & public areas to brand standards. The Rooms Inspector also participates in the cleaning and preparation of all guest areas as needed. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and accountability to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping.
Qualifications
- Must be over 18 years of age
- A High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with hotel brand standards for room cleanliness and presentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to self-inspect and ensure work meets or exceeds expectations
- Time management skills to complete assigned rooms efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Good communication skills to report issues or coordinate with team members
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of guest service principles
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy
- Ability to communicate in Spanish and English preferred
