Rooms Inspector - Hilton Short Pump

Job Duties

• Lead, train and supervise Room Attendants and Housepersons in a designated area to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
• Work with Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Supervisor and others to support the daily operation of the department, including opening/closing of the office, leading morning stand-up meetings and communicating with the Front Desk.
• Assess room inventory, assign rooms for cleaning and inspect rooms.
• Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
• Monitor linen rooms, carts and designated inventories.
• Cook up with Engineering Department to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas.
• Perform Room Attendant, Houseperson or laundry duties as needed.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, answer their questions and address any issues with the team to ensure the guest’s stay is a positively memorable experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.

Skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills, ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
