About the role
We are seeking a Substitute In Room Dining Server to join our team to cover a temporary leave. In this role, your day is shaped by movement, energy, and connection. You'll spend your time picking up orders with precision, ensuring each tray is complete, warm, and beautifully presented before delivering it to guests with grace and confidence. You'll enter each room ready to serve with warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to exceed expectations. Whether answering questions about menu items, assisting with wine selections, or helping guests navigate the property, you'll be the person they rely on for clarity, patience, and a warm smile.
Responsibilities
- Pick up orders with precision, ensuring each tray is complete, warm, and beautifully presented
- Deliver orders to guests with grace and confidence
- Enter each room ready to serve with warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to exceed expectations
- Answer questions about menu items and assist with wine selections
- Help guests navigate the property
- Set up and break down tables and trays
- Polish glassware and silverware until gleaming
- Stock linens and condiments
- Keep side stations organized and ready for action
- Take phone orders with clarity and personality
- Communicate seamlessly with the kitchen and other departments
- Follow strict safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Deliver amenities to VIP suites
- Resolve guest concerns
- Offer directions with a friendly escort
- Take part in meetings, contribute ideas, and learn about new programs

Requirements
- At least two years of prior service experience, ideally within a four or five star hotel environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, stay patient under pressure, and approach every situation with tact and professionalism
- Comfortable reading instructions, performing basic math, and speaking confidently with guests
- Understand the rhythm of lifestyle hotels and premium dining
- Ready to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to spend a good portion of your shift walking, carrying, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in environments that may be warm, cool, loud, or busy
- Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination to manage trays, utensils, and service items with ease
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
