Job Description
It is the main responsibility of the In- Room Dining Server to provide high quality food and beverage service to the guests, while maintaining assigned floors, ensuring the guest have an enjoyable dining experience.
Essential Functions
- Provide prompt, friendly, courteous service to all food and beverage guests.
- Deliver and serve food and beverages, amenities to guest’s rooms as well as designated areas within the hotel and casino.
- Maintains accuracy of the order and reviews the order with the guest to ensure guests received the proper order.
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions.
- Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
- Monitor guest room corridors for obstructions, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
- Complete open and closing side duties during the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures.
- Notify management of maintenance repair issues.
- Complete any additional reasonable requests by management.
Physical Tasks
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum six (6) months of related experience required.
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
- Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and willing to learn.
- Able to work at a rapid pace, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Able to handle stress arising from management of operations and volume of work.
- Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older.

- Must possess strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Ability to be punctual and meet deadlines.
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as a part of a team.
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area.
- On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
