Room Inspector

About the role

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is a new facility in Oak Grove, Kentucky, located near Fort Campbell and within easy reach of Clarksville, TN and Nashville, TN. The Room Inspector oversees housekeeping staff, making room assignments, directing their performance, and evaluating their work.

Responsibilities

• Open the housekeeping office daily, create room assignments if required
• Inspect hotel rooms after being cleaned by room attendants to ensure they meet the established standards
• Train new hires to meet cleanliness expectations
• Handle lost and found inquiries
• Effectively communicate with Front Desk and Housekeeping staff members
• Oversee housekeeping staff, such as making room assignments, directing housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluating housekeepers’ performance
• Recommend counseling and potential disciplinary action for housekeeping personnel
• Submit facility work orders for needed repairs
• Absorb short-handed situations by assisting housekeepers
• Promote outstanding customer relations

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
• Able to multi-task and take direction
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
