About the role
S&L Hospitality is seeking a Room Attendant / Hotel Housekeeper. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about working with people. This position primarily operates on 1st shift, preferably between the hours of 8am and 5pm, with weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Replenish items in rooms for guest use, including but not limited to towels, linens, and amenities.
- Accommodate and anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and professionally.
- Thoroughly clean the guest room and bathroom area as assigned (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, changing bed linen, emptying trash cans).
- Report any maintenance needs or items left behind by guests to the appropriate department.
- Become familiar and knowledgeable with the hotel's safety and emergency procedures.
- Meet hotel and company standards of cleanliness.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull more than 20 lbs; housekeeping carts may weigh 30 lbs or more.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekend availability.
- Detail-oriented individual capable of focusing on cleaning responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain a composed, gracious, and professional attitude.
- Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Prior relative experience preferred.
- Successful completion of a background check is required for this role.
