Room Attendant - Full Time *not for immediate hire*

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties required to keep guest rooms clean, including vacuuming, dusting, glass cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, and changing linens.
• Notify the Housekeeping Dispatcher or Supervisor of any needed repairs.
• Ensure each room is properly stocked and that all items are in proper working order.
• Verify linens and terry are free of defects.
• Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when interacting with customers and fellow team members.
• Complete any additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations.
• Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Prior hotel experience preferred.
• Good communication skills required.
• Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, and talking or hearing; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; occasional lifting/moving up to 75 lb; ability to bend 20 % from the waist, stand/walk 40 % of the time, and lift 20 % of the time.
• Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals; moderate noise level in the work environment.
