Room Attendant

Cleaning Duties

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms
• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms
• Sets up cleaning cart with supplies
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures
• Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilet(s) and stall walls
• Cleans mirrors, sink(s) and walls
• Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities
• Restocks literature and guest room supplies
• Washes all hard floor areas
• Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
• Strips bed of all linen and remakes with fresh linens
• Checks closet for cleanliness and restocks supplies
• Vacuums rooms, public areas and hallways
• Inspects all door and window locks
• Inspects all room equipment

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout a shift
• Push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout a shift
• Work with arms raised above head throughout a shift
• Maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire work day
• Able to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
• Able to read written instructions and computer print-outs
