Roofing Service Technician Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Affixes to locate leaks and perform professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Treat customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect.
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of all company issued equipment such as vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.
• Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out.
• Utilize industry standard manufacturer approved repair techniques.
• Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with completion of proper paperwork.
• Remove clutter on roof and maintain a clean & neat work area.
• Transport hot tar from kettle to work area.
• Clean and maintain roofing equipment.
• Cover and secure material and equipment on roof.
• Clean and maintain dump and staging area on ground.
• Keeps debris away from roof.
• Keeps material grouped and properly staged.
• Spu, seals, and maintains tie ins.
• Properly prepares and primes surfaces.
• Safely disposes of hazardous materials.
• Places plates and screws in proper locations.
• Covers equipment and materials as needed.
• Aware of surroundings – people, hazards, scopes of work.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests.
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall.
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more.
• Successful Background Check.
• Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day.
• Able to pass a government background check per project requirements.
• Knowledge of basic roofing tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions | Environment | Special Requirements

• Full time onsite.
• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, State and Federal regulations.
