Roofing Mechanic - Residential Roofing

About the role

At A-1 Roofing, we are a large, growing roofing company with 40 years in the industry, headquartered in Medford, NY. We are seeking experienced residential shingle roofing mechanics who take pride in their craft and want to grow with a company that values safety above all else.

Responsibilities

You will work as part of a skilled crew on residential shingle roofing projects in the Melville, NY area, including tear-offs, installations, and repairs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Show up on time
• Follow and enforce all safety protocols
• Mentor less-experienced crew members
• Deliver quality results that keep our customers coming back

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of hands-on residential shingle roofing experience, strong knowledge of roofing safety practices, PPE, and fall protection, and the ability to read and follow work-related documents and instructions. Other requirements include:

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work Monday–Saturday
• A team player who takes quality and safety seriously
• Ability to perform physically demanding work - heavy lifting, extended time on rooftops, and outdoor conditions year-round

Pay

$35–$50/hr based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, year-round work with hours varying from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Primary Location: Melville, NY | Office: Medford, NY
