Roofing Craftsman

About the Role

Unique, advanced skill level within the roofing division. Work independently and direct Technicians I and II who assist the Craftsman on projects. Promote and actively participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program, demonstrating and promoting core values of safety, quality, and teamwork. Help in the training and development of Technicians with a commitment to work product perfection and production within the specific skill set.

Responsibilities

• Lead roofing projects independently
• Direct and supervise Technicians I and II
• Promote and participate in Chamberlin’s Safety Program
• Demonstrate and uphold core values: safety, quality, and teamwork
• Train and develop Technicians
• Ensure work product perfection and production efficiency

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in roofing, preferably in a commercial application
• Advanced knowledge and proficient skill level in roofing
• Able to read, understand, and follow blueprints and construction documents
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to work outside in changing weather conditions
• Must be able to work in elevated locations
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to get to different job locations
• Must be seeking full-time employment with a desire for a long-term career

Qualifications

• English speaking (bilingual preferred)
• High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required
• Safety certifications (preferred)
