Roofing Construction Observer Minneapolis, Minnesota A well-established building envelope consulting and engineering firm is seeking a Roofing Construction Observer to support commercial roofing projects throughout the Minneapolis market.This position is ideal for someone with hands-on commercial roofing experience who enjoys fieldwork, quality assurance, inspections, and working closely with project teams to ensure installations meet project specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site observations and inspections of commercial roofing systems.Evaluate roofing materials, installation methods, and workmanship for compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.Prepare detailed field reports documenting observations, findings, and project progress.Verify completed work aligns with construction documents and quality standards.Capture site photographs and maintain project documentation.Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to meet project objectives and deadlines.Perform quality assurance reviews and communicate recommendations when deficiencies are identified. Qualifications Experience working with commercial roofing systems, construction, inspections, or building envelope projects.Strong understanding of roofing materials, installation methods, and industry best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.Familiarity with AutoCAD is beneficial but not required.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.Knowledge of construction-site safety procedures and best practices.Professional certifications such as IIBEC, RRO, RRC, or related credentials are highly desirable.
