Responsibilities
- Serve as resource and liaison between owners, architects, consultants, and contractors.
- Aid in identifying and resolving construction-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, applicable codes, and standards of practice.
- Manage post-contract AIA documents such as change orders, substantial completions, and construction change directives.
- Review submittal data including drawings, product data, and mock-ups and ensure constructability during the construction document phase.
- Attend owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings and conduct weekly site visits.
- Prepare and submit weekly field observation reports.
- Handle Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP).
- Document and file job-related information including correspondence, test reports, and drawings.
- Generate clear, accurate, and concise meeting minutes.
- Track, log, and verify payment applications.
- Maintain oversight of project expenditures and budget.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction observation, field inspection, or construction administration.
- Demonstrated experience with DSA projects required.
- Advanced understanding of construction drawings, including sketches, diagrams, plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of common construction materials, methods, and sequencing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, contractor coordination, and internal updates.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Experience with Newforma and BIM 360 preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites regularly are required.
Pay
SALARY RANGE $95,000 - $125,000
