Construction Laborer

Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Operate asphalt saw, concrete saw, chain saw and other power tools
- Perform traffic control duties, including flagging and sign setup
- Underground adjustments (manholes, catch basins)
- Measure, mark, paint and stake per measurements
- Pave operations
- Load, unload from work truck and clean tools and equipment
- Move and deliver tools, equipment and materials
- Set up security and silt fencing
- Demolition work using jackhammer and other tools
- Drive company vehicle to and around jobsites
- Assist with setting grade
- Direct and spot vehicles and equipment
- Load, unload from work truck and clean tools and equipment
- Cut, lay and grout pipe
- Dig and grade rock
- Rigging to set pipe and MHT
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Current and valid driver's license
- Safety-minded professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality
- Strong desire to learn a variety of skills and tasks
- Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work and communicate well with supervisor, plant personnel, and other employees
- Ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations
- Passes pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing
- Must be a current member or join Laborers Union Local 1686 within 30 days of hire
- Current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date
