Construction Laborer

About the role

Housing Visions is a 35-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to neighborhood revitalization through real estate development and community collaboration. We manage over 2,000 residential units across New York State and are currently seeking a Construction Laborer for our Newark, NY construction site.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and assembling materials
• Operate various construction equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist in the preparation of construction sites for new developments
• Participate in ongoing maintenance and repair activities as needed
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant construction experience
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Strong physical fitness and stamina

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic carpentry skills
• Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
