ROCKET CITY BARTENDER
About the role
The Bartender is responsible for organizing and stocking spirits, wine, beer, and other bar supplies. They also contribute to creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards.
- Understand where to find information needed to complete tasks to standard.
- Explain or demonstrate technical skills used to complete tasks to standard.
- Tell others about IMGR&C products and services.
- Provide guests with directions or venue information.
- Act promptly and professionally on all comments and complaints.
- Take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions are not immediately available.
- Request help from others when needed to complete tasks or goals.
- Have complete knowledge of IMGR&C products and services.
- Support the achievement of Quality Goals by doing things right the first time.
- Protect and preserve property of IMGR&C by keeping areas, equipment, and furnishings neat, clean, and in good repair.
- Make suggestions to improve performance.
- Meet IMGR&C standards for Mission, Values, Hospitality Behaviors, and Customer Recovery Skills.
- Serve others by identifying and communicating their needs, taking quick action to serve them, and improving service to others.
- Adhere to quality and sanitation standards.
- Comply with all IMGR&C and Policies, procedures, and daily checklists.
- Ensure all basic bar financial control policies are followed, including revenue controls, beverage pouring and dispensing policies, cash and credit card handling procedures, and the security of all inventories and assets.
- Know cocktail and drink terminology and preparations.
- Check IDs and enforce legal drinking age and responsible alcohol consumption.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Perform all shift opening and closing checklist duties.
- Wipe all bottles clean on a daily basis.
- Provide prompt, friendly, courteous, and professional service to guests and team members.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations.
- Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.
- Obtain and maintain an Alcohol Servers License.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED or six months to one-year job-related experience and/or training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
