Rock Truck Driver/Maintenance - 3132

Easton Quarry, a division of the H&K Group, Inc., is seeking a Rock Truck Driver/Maintenance Tech to join their team. The driver operates straight or articulated rubber-tired rock trucks equipped with hydraulically powered beds to transport and dump material, while also assisting with repairs and maintenance at the quarry. A CDL license is not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Performs pre- and post-trip equipment inspections daily and completes inspection sheets.
• Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate rock trucks safely and efficiently to transport material and meet production goals.
• Moves levers to raise and tilt truck bed to dump material.
• Performs routine maintenance on rock trucks, such as lubricating and cleaning.
• Assists with general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) from an accredited institution or one month of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical/maintenance experience.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to pass a fit test and use appropriate PPE as needed.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including movement and lifting.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ months of related experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Experience working in a quarry or heavy construction environment.
