Responsibilities

  • Systems Account Management - Build and maintain relationships with existing and target accounts. Regular touchpoints (phone, virtual meetings, site visits). Understand customer’s needs. Provide proactive solutions. Address any concerns. Provide ongoing recommendations for additional services.
  • Customer Assessments (Data Collection) - Assess the specific needs of the customer and collect necessary data to generate a systems solution. Understand the customer’s current operations. Identify pain points or inefficiencies. Strategize how to solve a customer’s challenges or improve processes.
  • Solution Proposals - Work with an assigned solutions engineer and (my role) to develop a customized solution proposal. Determine product selection. Calculate cost savings, operational efficiency, and improved safety measures. Develop customer proposals.
  • Process Flows - Manage the order process. Submit orders to Sales Support. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for handoff to Project Management. Handle change orders. Participate in systems delivery. Stay engaged in the delivery of the material handling system. Ensure the installation and implementation are handled to the customer’s satisfaction. Participate in site acceptance testing with the project management team to certify all criteria of the sold system are fulfilled.
  • Systems Aftermarket Support - Work with the local branch to provide an aftermarket strategy to the customer during the sales process. Develop a customized site aftermarket plan to include parts and service support that will be transitioned to the operations team at delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering or similar field preferred.
  • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, relationship development, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present at the senior most level in the business.
  • Team player comfortable working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, within a cross-border/virtual team environment.
  • A willingness to embrace change, to keep an open mind.
  • Travel up to 75%.
