Robotic Welder

About the role

As a Robotic Welder in our Metal Tech operation, you will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair metal parts and assemblies based on work orders or production drawings. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work closely with a small team of machine operators and welders.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate willingness to take direction and follow instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including proper tool storage and routine housekeeping.
• Operate and maintain robotic welding equipment, select proper fixturing, and use standard programs for robotic welders.
• Ensure work meets specifications, including dimensional criteria, squareness standards, and weld call outs; verify product quality and seek first part approval for new tasks.
• Read production drawings and manufacture products in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Operate CNC equipment, call correct programs, and perform manual weld operations as required.
• Communicate any deviations with the supervisor.
• Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and assist in diagnosis and corrective actions with the supervisor and/or maintenance team.

• Proven experience as a welder and with tooling and precision measurement tools.
