About the role

Join a team dedicated to transforming manufacturing with advanced robotics and AI technologies. This role supports customers and operates our cutting-edge autonomous welding cells, ensuring efficient equipment operation and addressing technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support Customers: Interact and operate running autonomous welding cells, interfacing with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Resources: Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise, collaborating with engineering teams to find solutions.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and repairs on automation equipment and cells, both locally and at customer sites.
  • Integrate Autonomous Welding Cells: Familiarize yourself with Forge processes and integrate sophisticated welding cells into customer manufacturing processes.
  • Service and Maintain Equipment: Carefully monitor cell performance, inspect, clean, and replace electrical and mechanical components.
  • Learn and Adapt: Be adaptable to changing needs and embrace quick development cycles within the company.

Requirements

  • Technical Training/Trade School Certification/Associate Degree in Engineering Tech/BS Engineering or Related Industry Experience
  • Hands-On Experience: Design, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems, preferably in manufacturing equipment.
  • Customer Support Mindset: Good interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to resolving customer issues.
  • Welding Experience: Basic understanding of welding principles and some practical experience.
  • Fabrication/Machine Shop Experience: Knowledge of fabrication techniques and machine shop operations.
  • Linux Experience: Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Programming Languages: Comfortable with learning and using programming languages relevant to automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with small and delicate components.
  • Passionate Environment: Enjoy working collaboratively and in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
  • Bilingual (Spanish): Additional language proficiency is a plus.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to operate and use shop equipment.
  • Able to climb ladders and bend over/move into awkward positions.
  • Commitment to high standards of workmanship, product quality, and continuous improvement.

Benefits

Flexible schedule: Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM with shift differential applied.
