Robotic Clinical Specialist (Houston, TX)

About the role

As a field-based Robotics Clinical Specialist, you will work at the intersection of advanced joint reconstruction technology and sales execution, partnering closely with surgeons and sales leaders to win in highly competitive markets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operating room expert for CORI robotic-assisted knee and hip solutions, providing hands-on case coverage for new and existing customers.
• Drive adoption, utilization, and growth of CORI technology in partnership with Joint Reconstruction and Capital Sales teams.
• Support product launches, competitive conversions, and strategic growth initiatives within your territory.
• Train surgeons and hospital staff to achieve confidence and technical proficiency in live surgical environments.
• Identify commercial opportunities, generate leads, and contribute directly to territory revenue performance.
• Represent Smith+Nephew at labs, in-services, and medical education events.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience in medical device sales or operating room-based commercial roles.
• Experience in orthopaedics, joint reconstruction, robotics, or capital equipment strongly preferred.
• A competitive, results-driven mindset with the ability to influence in high-pressure operating room environments.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with surgeons and key stakeholders.
• Post-secondary degree or equivalent commercial or clinical experience.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including regular overnight travel.

All field sales professionals who are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of those facilities, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocols.
