Robot Technician
About the role
The Robot Technician Level I supports the Robotics Engineer and Shift Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the proper operation and repair of robotic automation in a foundry/casting environment. This position involves providing general ABB robot troubleshooting, adjusting robot positions to meet quality requirements, replacing robot cabling as needed, performing preventative maintenance on robots and controllers, and testing EOATs.
Responsibilities
- Provide general ABB robot troubleshooting.
- Adjust robot positions to meet quality requirements.
- Replace robot cabling as needed.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on robot and controller.
- Perform Preventative maintenance on EOAT’s including testing function.
- Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs through understanding downtime and implementing preventative solutions for long-term success.
- Observe and practice all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
- Understand robotic and cell safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Prior robot programming experience is required.
- Must be self-motivated with an ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the plant.
- Possess mechanical, electrical, and computer skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting.
