Robot Service Technician Assistant - PT (Purdue University)

Expected compensation: 23.00 - 25.00 USD Per Hour HireArt is helping our client hire a a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots. This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry. As a Robot Service Technician Assistant, You'll Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment. Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness. Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware. Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet. Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet. Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team. Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation. Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team. Requirements Comfortable working in varied field environmentsAbility to lift and move items over 50 pounds safelyStrong attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solvingTeam-oriented mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience General computer literacyIntroductory background or interest in electric vehicle (EV) service, automotive repair, or electronics Commitment: This is a part-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
