Robot Field Application Engineer - Open to Entry-, Mid-, and Senior-Level Candidates

About the role

Rainbow Robotics is seeking a Robot Field Application Engineer to join its growing US team. This role involves installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and training customers on various robotics products including RB Series cobots, RBY dual-arm robots, RBM AMRs, and RBQ quadrupeds. The position requires hands-on experience with robot mechatronics, familiarity with Python and C++, and strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure Rainbow Robotics products at customer sites
• Perform on-site troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• Deliver customer training on robot teaching, programming, and operation
• Own customer service and AS support for assigned accounts
• Serve as the communication bridge between US customers and HQ engineering
• Support pre-sales activities including customer demos and proof-of-concept deployments

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of robot mechatronics
• Familiarity with Python and/or C++
• Hands-on experience with robot teaching and programming
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Valid US driver's license and authorization to work in the US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with robot teaching and programming

Skills

• Python and/or C++ programming
• Robot teaching and programming
• Linux environment
• Modbus TCP/RTU, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET
• PLC programming and integration
• ROS / ROS2, Docker, Git
• Experience with cobots or industrial robots in live production environments
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English
