Roadway Engineer EIT - Lexington, KY
About the role
A Roadway Engineer with 2+ years of roadway design experience is being recruited by Lochner, a division of Egis, a global infrastructure consulting, engineering, and operations firm.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of engineering to assist in the design of freeways, interchanges, roadways, streets, intersections, roundabouts, and other transportation-related infrastructure.
- Perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
- Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Methodical approach to problem solving and completing project requirements, while working as part of a team or independently.
- Clearly communicate through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
- Perform and coordinate plan reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- May conduct site investigations, as well as other responsibilities associated with this position.
- Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification is required or will be obtained within 6 months.
- 1 to 4 years of roadway design experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solver.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using MicroStation a plus.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer a plus.

Pay
Lochner is proud to provide a competitive salary and benefits package tailored to each individual's needs and contributions to the company. Salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
