About the role
Based in Portland or Bend, OR, you'll work on exciting and engaging projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise. Using your experience, you’ll lead teams on our larger projects. You will work directly with the Portland and WSDOT Olympic Region offices and their transportation team to solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions; identify applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living leading functional teams or projects and serve as a best practice/quality resource.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams on larger roadway/highway design projects
- Solve complex transportation problems with innovative solutions
- Apply functional knowledge and existing methodologies to project challenges
- Prepare plans, specifications, estimates, and design documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation work with an emphasis on roadway/highway and geometrics final design and/or Maintenance of Traffic and Traffic Control final design
- Professional Engineering license
- MicroStation/Inroads and OpenRoads background
Qualifications
- Experience with multi-discipline infrastructure engineering design and construction projects
- ADA design experience
- Previous WA or OR Department of Transportation experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
