About the role

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: “An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets.”

Responsibilities

  • Dispatched to customers’ locations to repair or change tires when a tire-related failure occurs.
  • Help mount orders, clean, and organize the shop during non-service call periods.
  • Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Previous commercial service tire experience is preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
  • Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
  • Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
  • Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements.

Pay

  • $18 hourly

Schedule

  • Mandatory on-call rotation.
  • After-hours service calls are paid at double-time with a minimum of 2 hours per call.
