About the Role
Multiple full-time Tow Truck Operator (flatbed or wrecker) positions available primarily out of our Maspeth NY location.
Compensation
- The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $27.00 / hour.
- Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, shift differentials and experience.
- Annual bonuses are offered to employees and certain roles are eligible to earn additional forms of compensation through monthly and/or quarterly incentives.
- Additional $2.75 per hour overnight shift differential on any hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
- Additional $1.75 per hour evening shift differential for any hours worked between 6pm and 10pm.
- Additional $1 per hour shift differential for working weekend hours.
- Differentials can be combined.
Qualifications
- For Tow: At least 21 years of age Required and Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity of electrical troubleshooting Required.
- For Battery: At least 19 years of age required. Must have had license for 2 or more years.
- Licenses and Certifications: Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction Required and DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 Year Required and Satisfactory motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy.
- A NY state issued driver's license is required to obtain a W Endorsement for towing from the DMV.

Schedule

Skills

- Ensuring member safety, vehicle security, and education to members on possible vehicle issues.
- Providing minor mechanical assistance in an attempt to get the member’s vehicle safely back on the road.
- Safely towing the disabled vehicle to a member requested destination.

- The first installment of the bonus will be issued after successful completion of 3 months of employment.
- The second installment of the bonus will be issued after successful completion of 6 months of employment.
