ROAD FOREMAN - STARTING PAY: $31.15 - $34.38 PER HOUR DOE

The Road Foreman directs, instructs, assists, and supervises a large road crew within the Road Department, ensuring adherence to methods, procedures, performance standards, policies, discipline, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader to grade various base materials, maintaining and establishing road profiles to grades and blue tops.
• Utilize hand-operated tools in the performance of job duties.
• Check and enforce standards of performance, policies, discipline, and safety of workers with minimal supervision.
• Work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and be on-call as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Road Manager/Sr. Superintendent, Road Manager, or Landfill Manager.
• Maintain operating knowledge of all equipment used by the Road Department for county road maintenance.

Requirements

• No illegal drug use within the last three years.
• Must comply with county safety guidelines.
• Must pass a new-hire physical and drug screen.
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Pay

Starting salary range: $31.15 - $34.38 per hour, dependent on experience.
