About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one nursing care to children ages 1‑21 with tracheostomies, ventilators, and gastrostomy tubes.
• Support clients’ medical needs in home, school, and community settings.
• Monitor and maintain equipment (trach, vent, g‑tube) and respond to changes in condition.
• Document care and communicate with families and the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license (state‑specific).
• Willingness to learn specialized pediatric care (ventilator, trach, g‑tube).
• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required.
• A caring attitude and team‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

License as an RN or LPN; eligibility for hire based on license, relevant experience, and qualifications (which determine pay within the stated ranges).

Skills

• Ventilator, tracheostomy, and gastrostomy tube care.
• Ability to work independently in a home setting while collaborating with a support team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families and children.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends).

Pay

Base hourly range: $25.00–$31.00 for LPNs and $35.00–$41.00 for RNs, based on license, experience, and qualifications. Additional shift differentials: Weekday nights (Mon–Fri) +$1/hour; Weekend nights (Sat–Sun) +$2/hour; Weekend days (Sat–Sun) +$1/hour.
