RNFA – Registered Nurse First Assistant (Perioperative Services) – Travel Contract

Job Summary

Adventist Health Twin Cities is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to provide advanced perioperative nursing care by assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the surgical team throughout the perioperative process. This EXCLUSIVE EPIC Assignment requires current Epic EMR experience.

Requirements

• Current Epic EMR experience required
• Previous RNFA/First Assist experience required
• Recent Operating Room (OR) experience required
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile technique
• Able to work rotating shifts and collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams

Credentials

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification or documented RN First Assist qualification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
• Current Epic EMR experience (required)

Assignment Details

• Pay Rate: $75–$77/hour
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,000–$3,080/week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 8 Weeks
• Shift: Rotating Shift Schedule: 5 × 8-Hour Shifts (40 Hours/Week)
