RN Wound Care Specialist FT | Las Vegas LTACH

Responsibilities

• Coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients
• Participates in patient and family teaching
• Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• A current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working
• Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Two (2) years direct patient care experience required
• Prioritize experience in emergency care, critical care or ET nursing is preferred

• Knowledge of wound care principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
