RN, Wound Care Specialist

Job Summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a skilled Wound Care Specialist for a contract position in Simi Valley, CA. The role involves seeing patients from various units with wound care needs, conducting consultations for pressure injuries, and serving as a wound care consultant.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians in specialized acute care settings
• Assesses, treats, and prevents wound, ostomy, and continence care issues
• Serves as a consultant for patients with draining wounds, fistulas, and tubes
• Works with physicians and nursing staff to provide wound care updates
• Conducts rounds on patients with wound/pressure ulcers and pressure injuries

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Wound care certification preferred, to be achieved in a determined time period
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
