RN Weekend Warrior

About the role
Stillwater Health Care is a 63-bed center seeking a Weekend Warrior RN to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. This role is part of a limited enrollment program requiring a commitment to work twenty-six (26) consecutive weekends (six months), with three (3) twelve (12)-hour shifts per weekend. The weekend is defined as beginning Friday at 6:30 AM and ending Monday at 7:00 PM. Employees may take two (non-consecutive) weekends off during the 26-week contract.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Recording patient vital signs and medical information.
- Ordering medical diagnostic and clinical tests.
- Monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Administering non-intravenous medications.
- Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Modifying patient health treatment plans as indicated by patient conditions and responses.
Requirements
- AS or BS degree in nursing.
- Current registration/licensure as an RN in Maine.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation (must remain current during employment).
- Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective leadership skills and/or ability to develop this skill.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- ACLS certification (implied by role expectations).
- BLS/CPR training.

Pay
A premium differential of $5.00 per hour is paid for hours worked during the defined weekend period, in addition to any standard weekend differentials.
Schedule
- Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
