RN - Urgent Care Centers - Per diem

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under supervision of providers and Practice Management RN.
• Assesses, plans, gives, and documents nursing care.
• Assists the provider with patients, including preparation of examination rooms and patient preparation (taking vital signs, explaining procedures).
• Administers medications and injections as prescribed under general direction of the provider.
• Assists with special procedures, including minor procedures.
• Completes all results and patient call backs within scope of practice, following up with patients and providers as appropriate.
• Assists in development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures, working with system personnel to ensure compliance with Joint Commission, NYS DOH, and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current New York license.
• Professionally mature, energetic, and creative individual demonstrating leadership qualities in a rapidly changing health care environment.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Graduation from an approved school of nursing (required).
• 2‑4 years of recent nursing experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine, or outpatient care nursing.
• Experience using an EMR preferred.

Pay

Position pay range: $35.00‑46.00 per hour. Starting pay is based on experience.

Schedule

Per diem – 8‑ to 12‑hour shifts with some weekend requirements.
