Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care (Per Diem)

About the Role

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide urgent care services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for various urgent medical conditions such as infections, injuries, and fractures.
• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests like X-rays, labs, and imaging.
• Develop and manage patient treatment plans, document encounters, and communicate results and follow-up instructions.
• Prescribe medications, refer patients to specialists, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to policies, and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Work rotating shifts across multiple locations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Active South Carolina license, DEA license, and ability to obtain ACLS & BLS within 90 days.

Skills

• Preferred experience with EMR systems and urgent care protocols.
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
