Summary/Objective

The Unit Manager Nurse Supervisor at Kenansville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is responsible for overseeing nursing care, medication administration, and resident supervision. The role also involves developing care plans, maintaining infection control, and interacting with residents and staff.

Essential Functions

• Provides quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.
• Supervises CNAs and other staff, ensuring assignments are completed and rounds the unit multiple times to ensure proper care.
• Assists with new admissions, re-admissions, and transfers of residents.
• Communicates and interacts effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attends and participates in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents and ensures they are cared for in a safe and clean environment.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current State License as a RN or LPN
• CPR Certified
• One year experience as a nurse in a long-term care setting preferred
