About the role
The Unit Manager (RN) is responsible for overseeing the care management of a population of patients within an assigned area, unit, or clinical function. This position conducts the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. The Unit Manager coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to the center's clinical systems, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum of one year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
