Key Responsibilities
- Aid the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department.
- Ensure nursing staff comply with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and support nursing personnel to promote quality resident care and professional development.
- Review and address resident, family, and staff concerns, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Manage unit staffing schedules and staffing levels while minimizing overtime and agency usage.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Teach, demonstrate, and evaluate nursing skills and competencies.
- Oversee MDS completion and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and resident records.
- Participate in staff recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding efforts.
- Attend meetings and committees as assigned.
- Assume nursing responsibilities during weekends and holidays as needed.
- Foster a compassionate, respectful, and resident-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted RN License in the State of New Jersey.
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or healthcare setting preferred.
- At least six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay
$100,000 – $110,000 Annually
Schedule
Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
