RN Unit Coordinator - Surgery Unit

About the role

The RN Unit Coordinator position is available at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Surgery Unit 4 East. This full-time, weekend day shift position operates approximately 7am to 7pm, with options to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
• Under the direction of the department manager, lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on and simplify workflow, and contribute to the development of staff.
• Increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
• 18 months nursing experience.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN, MSN, or RN Doctorate from an accredited school.
