About the Role

The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area
  • Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department
  • Led safety and quality initiatives

  • Promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service

Requirements

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-state RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
  • ACLS & PALS or ENPC within one (1) year of hire
  • BLS within 90 days of hire

Education

  • RN-Bachelor’s Degree
  • RN-Master’s Degree (preferred, if the graduate degree is not in nursing then the BSN is required)

Experience

  • Experienced RN with 18 months nursing experience required
