Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care and treatment plans under the supervision of Charge Nurses
- Administer medications, perform EKGs, and assist with procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation in SOAP format and review medical records
- Respond to emergencies and ensure safety and infection control protocols
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary communication
- Travel full-time to different healthcare facilities as staffing needs require
Additional Details
Travel RN/LVN opportunities are primarily based in California, with current needs at sites such as Shasta, Placer, San Luis Obispo, and Fresno. Assignments vary by location, but most shifts are 12-hour days or nights, with some 8-hour options and weekend rotations. This role is best suited for adaptable, team-oriented nurses comfortable working in diverse correctional environments.
Pay
Pay is based on experience. LVNs earn $40–45 per hour, and RNs earn $55–63 per hour.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- One (1) or more years of clinic experience preferred
- Must be willing and able to travel 100% of the time
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the states of practice and the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse license
- Current CPR certification
- Active California nursing license in good standing (for LVN roles)
- At least three years of nursing experience; correctional experience preferred but not required
