About the role
We are seeking a skilled CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room, assemble equipment and supplies, and ensure sterile procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team members to deliver coordinated patient care
- Position patients safely and assist with surgical procedures
- Handle specimens and document accurately to maintain diagnostic integrity
- Provide post-surgical care and patient handoff to recovery teams
- Respond effectively to intraoperative emergencies
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum one year of recent CVOR RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS certification
- Preferred ACLS certification
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist during procedures
- Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain attention to detail
- Strong visual and motor skills for technical tasks
